SOUTH LONDON FOOTBALL WALK RAISES OVER £21,000
On Sunday June 7th 50 people from the football and lung cancer community came together for our first ever Carry The Ball Walk and raised over £21,000 an incredible achievement. We kicked off at London's oldest club Cray Wanderers (Flamingo Park Stadium) then made our way to the Valley home of championship side Charlton Athletic FC. We then went across to the Den Millwall FC, on to Premier league Crystal Palace FC (with a short pub stop in Dulwich on the way) A total of 28 miles later (for some) we finished with medal presentation and a drinks event at Hayes Lane the home of London's newest league one club Bromley FC. Each walker was given a carry ball t-shirt and around 100 people celebrated the success through the evening. A massive thank you to everybody who took part, the volunteers and the clubs for their support and of course to everbody who supported them with thier kind and generous donations.
