Andy's story
In March 2013, I was diagnosed with lung cancer after breaking a couple of ribs in a skiing accident. An X-ray revealed a tumour on my lung, making my broken ribs seem like a minor issue in comparison. I was referred to the Chartwell Centre at the Princess Royal Hospital in Farnborough.

It was there that I met Nicky Deloble, who became my Lung Nurse. After our consultation, I was sent to Guys Hospital in London, where I met the incredible team who would perform the surgery to remove my tumour.

In May 2013, I underwent surgery, and the aftercare I received was nothing short of fabulous.

When Nicky asked me to join the support group, I fully embraced her idea of helping others. Being part of this group has been a wonderful way to give back and support those who are going through similar experiences.
